SOUTH AFRICAN RECORDING ARTIST WOUTER KELLERMAN WINS GRAMMY® AWARD


Globe-trotting South African flautist and composer Wouter Kellerman has won a Grammy® Award in the category ‘Best New Age Album” for ‘Winds Of Samsara, a collaboration with composer and music producer Ricky Kej.


Kellerman joins a list of great Grammy® award-winning South African artists including Miriam Makeba and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.


Kellerman has proved to be one of South Africa’s foremost musicians since launching his debut album ‘Colour’ in 2008. In 2010 he performed at the FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony to a global television audience of 700-million people, and in 2011 he won the South African equivalent of the Grammy (the SAMA or South African Music Award) for his album ‘Two Voices’.




                                                                                                            ‘Winds Of Samsara’ was also nominated for two HMMA (Hollywood In Media Awards) in the World Music and New Age categories, debuted at Number 1 on the US New Age Billboard charts (spending 11 weeks in the Top 10) and topped the Radio Airplay Charts in the month of July 2014.
